I'm not a musician but I love music. For those aspiring guitarist/musicians, here's Frederick Noad. Author and published the books Solo Guitar Playing 1 & 2. 
Solo Guitar Playing 1 is really for beginners or no knowledge, experience at all. It starts with the basic techniques which includes the playing position, tuning, beginning to play and the left hand. In the succeeding lessons, you will right hand technique,s beginning to read music, notes, frets, etc. And at the end of it you can play a song. 
This one is the more advance. You will learn about rhythms, scales, sight reading etc. It also includes exercises and music pieces that I'm sure you'd love to play.
